A Tohatsu Corporation, o mais antigo fabricante japonês de motores fora de borda com um legado de mais de um século, anunciou uma colaboração inovadora com a Ilmor Marine. Esta colaboração estratégica marca uma parceria histórica entre dois líderes da indústria, combinando a rica herança da experiência da Tohatsu em propulsão fora de borda e as proezas de engenharia de ponta da Ilmor.
A colaboração entre Tohatsu e Ilmor centra-se em torno da criação de uma linha de produtos elétricos. O primeiro modelo é um motor de 6 kW. Este motor elétrico oferece tilt e trim integrados, um ecrã sensível ao toque com informação de todas as funcionalidades e diversos eixos e hélices.

A Tohatsu especializou-se em projetar e fabricar motores fora de borda desde 1956, com mais de 100 anos de experiência em engenharia, produzindo os produtos mais confiáveis e fáceis de usar.
O motor fora de borda Tohatsu de 4,0 kW vai ser desenhado para produzir aceleração semelhante a um motor Tohatsu de 4 tempos e 8 HP. Está preparado para ser fornecido com punho ou direção remota com uma opção de coluna curta, coluna longa e coluna ultralongo para uma variedade de tipos de barcos.
O fora de borda elétrico de 4.0kW será projetado e desenvolvido para ser o mais simples possível para uma operação amigável para o utilizador. A configuração do modelo de punho inclui controlo de mudança e aceleração para uma operação intuitiva. Um indicador LED na frente do capô mostra o nível restante da bateria e alertas, e um ecrã LCD a cores embutido no punho fornece o nível da bateria, velocidade, distância e horas restantes. Cada aspecto será projetado com a mesma atenção à qualidade, durabilidade e confiabilidade de todos os produtos Tohatsu.

The collaboration between Tohatsu and Ilmor centers around the creation of a premier line of electric products that will set a new standard. The first in line is a 6kW outboard. This electric outboard offers integrated tilt and trim, a gauge-style touch screen for centralized system operations, and multiple variants in both shafts and props.
