The FortyTwo, the new model presented by Eleva Yachts, is sailing. The shipyard is making its voice heard in the 42-foot market after its participation at Genoa Boat Show. The project is by Giovanni Ceccarelli, as is the appreciated The Fifty.
The Forty Two is the new boat launched by Eleva Yachts for the 20/21 season: it is a boat that follows the principles that inspired The Fifty, which in the past few years has represented one of the novelties in the crowded medium cruising sector. With a hull length of 12.5 metres and a width that exceeds 4 metres, the new model has a voluminous hull that is very habitable and of excellent performance.
Once again the research of the shipyard and designer Giovanni Ceccarelli has moved in three directions: construction quality, aesthetics and performance. The result is once again the search to go beyond the consolidated canons.
The FortyTwo takes up the line of The Fifty, which with its particular appearance has been a voice out of the chorus, a new vision in the general homologation of shapes that makes one boat look like another.
The new boat was also designed for fast cruising, always with the aim of maximum safety and therefore solidity. The layout is available in different versions, which coincide with sailing aptitudes. Mediterranean for our sea: with a simple deck, a traditional sail plan with cockpit deck, the possibility to have a self tacking jib. The Ocean version can have a roll bar to anchor the spray hood and awning. The mainsail can be anchored to the roll bar, drastically limiting the possibility of contact with the guests in the cockpit. The Ocean is also dedicated to those who want great ease of manoeuvre and protection in the cockpit, which will also be equipped with a central table. A third Race version will be dedicated to high performance, for those who like simple loft interiors, love adjustments and even racing.
The standard layout includes three cabins and two bathrooms and can be modified especially for the race version with two aft cabins, one bathroom and a bow loft with sails and crew berths.
The construction quality remains one of Eleva Yachts’ strong points, the lamination is by vacuum infusion process carried out with high quality resins and materials. There are no structural countermoulds and the reinforcements are made of carbon.
